Advinturers (“we”, “our”, “us”) is the controller of your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

• Account & profile content you provide (e.g., photos you upload, tasting notes, event titles, date/time, location you enter).
• Device & usage data (e.g., app events, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, crash logs) for security and improvement.
• Support communications (e.g., messages you send to us).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined by applicable laws). If you enable features that require location, we will request your permission first. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate Advinturers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, error monitoring) under appropriate contracts. We may also share data if required by law, to protect safety, or in connection with a merger or reorganization.

4. International transfers

We may process and store data in countries outside your own (e.g., the United States). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless we must retain it to comply with law or resolve disputes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

CCPA/CPRA (California)

7. How to exercise your rights

Email us at cheers@advinturers.com with your request and the region you are in. We will verify your identity (e.g., by confirming control of the account email) and respond within the timeframes required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website and app may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality and performance. We currently do not use advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies that require consent or opt-out, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate controls (including honoring Global Privacy Control where applicable).

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continually work to improve our protections.

10. Children

Advinturers is intended for users aged 18 and over. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be notified through the app or by email where appropriate.
